Yesterday, a 22 year old Islamic gospel musician, Yahaya Sharif-Aminu, was sentenced to death by a Sharia court sitting in Kano State.

According to the charges against him, he has been accused and found guilty of blaspheming against Prophet Mohammed in a song of his that went viral on WhatsApp.

This sentencing has caused a lot of outrage online as many have decried such punishment for his "crime". Many have blasted the government for rehabilitating "repentant" terrorists but condemning young innocent Nigerians to death,
